Managing a Corporate Brand

Limited Brands was officially formed in early 2002 with the re-merging of specialty retailers Limited Inc. and Intimate Brands. While the new parent company was known more for the brands in its portfolio, such as Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works, the company chose to create a strong umbrella corporate brand who’s primary audiences would be shareholders, analysts, business press and employees.

Having had a long-standing relationship with both legacy companies, Method was selected to develop the corporate brand image and corresponding guidelines used to manage the umbrella brand. Method also executed some of the first communications tools to use the new image including the 2002 Annual Report and The Guide™, Limited Brands company-wide human resource handbook.
